I grew up on 80s Madonna, so I was thrown for a loop when she came out with Erotica. I had a mild appreciation for “Deeper and Deeper” back then, but now I realize for the timeless bop it is. It’s truly become one of my all-time favorites from her.

Every song on Erotica is truly something else. I just can't explain it/believe it. It's incredible.

lolol when I was in high school chemistry class a kid was wearing a House of Pain shirt and my chemistry teacher was this old guy and he looked at my classmate's shirt and was like, "House of PAIN? You're STRANGE!" and it cracked everyone the fuck up

Steal My Sunshine is excellent!!

A similar vibe is Bran Van 3000's "Drinking In LA"

one of my favorite memories from Husbeast's and My wedding is the DJ putting "Jump Around" on as the second to last song of our reception. By that point all the Olds had left and it was just us and our friends and we were all various degrees of inebriated and once that opening "BAAAA BA BA BUUUUUUM.... BWEEEEE" dropped. everyone, including me, RAN for the dance floor to pogo joyfully for three solid minutes.

It also resulted in some HILARIOUS pictures. (hope these are visible)

I was obsessed with Nicki's version of "total eclipse of the heart" when I was a kid. I played that cassette tape (of the single only) out.

I was going to say Pump Up the Jam but apparently it was released in 1989. QANTAS used Feels Like Home in an ad and ruined it for me

Flawless post. RIP Layne.

I'd humbly add:

I know there's more banging around in the back of my brain somewhere but this is all I can come up with at 2:30 am.
