DC: My theory is that if someone has never met me in real life, then, subconsciously, I’m not real to them. So when people become engaged with someone they don’t even know on the internet, they kind of take ownership over that person. They think that person belongs to them in some sense. And when that person changes drastically, there is a shock response that is almost uncontrollable.
But those are all the trues popstars should never say out loud. The projection/ilusion of knowing the idol is what keep fans around.

the way her lives used to go it was like she was in on the joke, but then she started acting like ‘no thats; the real me’ and the public was like ‘we know its a persona so we will try to be in on the joke with you’ and i think thats thats when the issues started, bcs she started to take herself too seriously…and now we have a ‘real rap album.’
