It just makes me think of how Kit Connor was treated. Always assuming people are straight and queerbaiting rather than taking steps to figure themselves out. Idk I hope that makes sense.

what happened to "we should let ppl dress however they want without gendering and labeling their clothing"?
i don't give two shits about harry styles but ppl's approach to him has always seemed a bit weird to me. yes, he thrives partially due to his ambiguity but so what? i hate this idea that ppl should label themselves in order to "be allowed" to exist or present themselves in a certain way. frankly, i really don't care if he's a straight man who likes to wear dresses sometimes.

But the issue seems to be that Harry does the same thing. He'll say all the things about not liking labels, it being a girl "doesn't matter", run around waving the flag, but he has never confirmed anything ever. No, in an ideal world he shouldn't have to, but we don't live in an ideal world. Harry has only ever publicly dated women (and even then has never confirmed any of them either). The reason he won't is because he doesn't want his sexuality confirmed one way or another because his "ambiguity" brings him the most attention. It's just interesting to watch him get all this attention and love about a community that he refuses to claim (This is from ( ... )

i think this is an enormous assumption to make about why someone who’s been in the spotlight since he was sixteen might want to have extremely strict boundaries about what aspects of his personal life he shares with the public

You can be queer but for various reasons don't feel comfortable making it public so who someone is publicly dating doesn't necessarily mean anything. Generally I feel it's none of my business.

For me, as someone who's bi, I just don't like the increasing attitude people (not saying you) have where they're entitled to know exactly where a person's sexuality lands before that person is allowed to express themselves. It's happened a few times recently where celebrities have been outed against their will, and I don't think the pressure is helpful to the current environment.
