Yeah and it didn’t seem to happen straight away too. Even though he was still working, it took a few years for him to get something rather big (Yesterday). I think some soap stars seem to give up rather quickly, after they leave their show to look for something else.

Also, it could be a race thing where you (as a non-white person) have to keep at it because opportunities don’t fall in your lap in the same way. Like one of the biggest Black British playwrights made his (acting) start on Casualty after all (Kwame Kwei-Armah).

tbh he was one of the strongest actors on there and was probably on it for way longer than he needed to be. I'm so glad for him
