as for the prosthetic nose and mirren not being jewish, umm... i will say this movie was made by an israeli director and is being released with the support of the israeli movie industry ( she was just awarded at the jerusalem film festival, jewish groups are heavily marketing it) and they are probably elated that she's in this because of how big a name she is so like...? idfk lmao i would simply not make this movie or cast her in for that matter but i don't think "israel" (i.e. their film industry) is that mad about it

Compared to the diaspora where fake noses and antisemitic imagery filled with big noses are still an everyday occurrence, it creates this strange divide.
