How terrible. Am I understanding correctly that he was her romantic partner? Or was he a business partner? I wasn't aware she was dating anyone, let alone going through the hell that is a loved one's ALS diagnosis, so i'm surprised. I try to donate to CCALS when I can and so hope they can find better treatment options soon.

Romantic. They were very under the radar and basically minded their business. All of this is horribly sad.

my dad passed away from ASL a over a decade ago and it's such a terrifying disease to witness someone go through he passed away a year and a half after being officially diagnosed with it so he didn't have to live with it for too long - but to watch him deteriorate in such a short amount of time was heartbreaking since we all felt so helpless.

i was still relatively young at the time so it didn't really hit me the severity of it until he was gone. tl;dr fuck ASL, no family should have to go through such an event to their loved ones.
