At my highest weight I was like 180 pounds. Many people didn't see the big deal because I'm tall but I definitely felt it in my bones and I had issues with my knees.
A couple of times I even gave myself a panic attack thinking I would have a heart attack after eating so much unhealthy food.
I knew I had to change and it was the hardest thing I've ever done. My family wasn't particularly supportive. My mom would comment on my weight all the time. And I was too ashamed to ask my friends for help or even go to a nutritionist.
Going outside was my only way out and through walking, cycling, hiking, etc., I started to get better both physically and mentally. I lost about 60 pounds in a year. I had to fix my relationship with food as well but in time I learned not to denied myself of anything. Food is still a comfort but I don't depend on it the way I used to.

What worked best for me has been to schedule in time and try not to deviate as much as possible, which is fine for me because I am fully remote. I'll do an hour workout video (I like Burpee Girl's turbo walking workouts paired with one of her strength training videos) in the morning and then walk or cycle for a half hour or so in the evening.
I don't do anything too difficult- I refuse to do "floor work" and I never really changed how I eat because if I want ice cream, I'm going to fucking eat ice cream, but it worked for me. I never was noticeably big, because I'm pretty tall and I carry extra weight well, but I felt awful.
