At the stage in my life where I will not watch a Kelly clip because her outfit will distract me too much to enjoy her singing.

Imagine what we feel as Mariah Carey fans...

To be honest, most of the stage outfits for ALL artists are truly horrendous. But still. Just dress normal and sing, we don't need to see your thighs and your sparkly leotard!

Lol ngl I teared up too. I love that she changed the lyrics so that they're empowering towards her, and so she can sing the song again. I really enjoyed her interview with Las Culturistas, she seems as generally down to earth as a famous person can possibly be.

Her version of ABCDEFu is iconic and I hope she releases it.

I've never even been married, let alone divorced, but I've watched various videos of that performance like 20 times.

YAAAAAAS I was hoping she'd do something like this! The song is so much more powerful now, and conveys a far healthier message. Self love is SO much more important than finding someone to essentially love you for you. The latter type of thinking is dangerous. Not that isn't wonderful to find someone you can share you life with, trust, and rely on. But healing and moving on from trauma requires more gritty, lonely work than getting that fairy tale ending with (who you think is) a good partner. I'm glad she has taken back this song, and her life, and her power. <3
