Wasn't Aidan boring af and kinda an asshole to Carrie in the original series?
I don't even remember much about him.

I remember him being not that bad (other than the fact that John Corbett annoys me). Though my last watch through was like 8 years ago so I could be wrong. He was a good boyfriend to Carrie. It was after he took her back that he was shitty- and I think that's why things ended, he couldn't ever really forgive her.

He was good the first time. Petty and paranoid the second time since he wanted to lock Carrie down so Carrie couldn't run to Big anymore. Understandable insecure man move, but still shitty. If he felt that insecure about Carrie, he shouldn't have accepted the second round. But even if Carrie hadn't cheated the first time, they wouldn't end up together imo. They weren't a good fit.

I'm currently rewatching the show and I'm on his arc. He's okay the first time he dates Carrie but on the second one it's like he constantly gets his jealousy over Big to get the best of him. It's within reason, I feel like Carrie telling him she absolutely can't leave the guy she cheated on him with out of her life was a bit much. But then again, Aidan proposing and wanting to marry her quickly was also a way of securing her for him, as opposed to Big.

It's complicated. The insecurities that the infidelity caused him often made him act in asshole ways, but Carrie wasn't good for him either because she kept adding fire to that flame. I never understood why he was so hung up on her either, they seemed to have nothing in common.

Someone post that “they just have to die” Oprah gif, I’m on my phone and tenor has made it impossible to link to their gifs on a phone.

That’s exactly how it sounds. And if they’d somehow decided to let Big live, they wouldn’t have said any of this

This week's episode was a breath of fresh air. Felt like a whole different series to all other episodes

it's still shit and not even corny/funny CW shit
it's just boring shit

The new girls are still the superior character and they should get their own show

Girl, you're tripping lol Seema is a pathetic attempt @ Sam 2.0, and Lisa is incredibly annoying and clearly written as a tacky fantasy for straight women who say shit like ~relationship goals~. Nya is the only saving grace of the new group but they're barely paying attention to her.

He is the one who should have won

well he didn't have to spend a lifetime (or most of it before croaking on a bike) with Carrie so that's a win in my book

They wanted completely different things in life, it would have never worked! People mocked Charlotte for dumping a guy for liking the wrong style of dinner plates, but she was right in that they had completely different ideals of what their married life would look like, and this is the exact problem Carrie and Aiden have. She didn't even like his dog!

I wonder if that's why they're stating they've both lived different lives and found their way back to each other- he got his wife, kids, dog, and normal life. She got Big and the fairy tale. Now his kids are grown, dog's dead, he's financially secure and divorce. She's financially secure and Big is ashes. They're different people after like fifteen years so maybe it could work?

ngl I completely felt Carrie's pain when Pete destroyed her shoes (and her grimace when she got home and saw him lol)
