Inside This Year's Quiet, but Still Mighty, San Diego Comic-Con: Comic Book Sales Spike, Epic Activation Lines, Groundbreaking Panels https://t.co/eZTLo8icRM - Variety (@Variety) July 24, 2023
Not movies from The Big 5. But other stuff.
Comics are doing gangbusters, having an increase of people coming to the showroom floor.
I had such a good time, the floor was appalling and I want to punch every person with a giant bag of funko pops, those fucking corners are sharp and hurt
But otherwise had a very chill time and got to do a few more off sites than normal which was great too
I am taking my brother to Dragon Con this year. I just look at the guest list. It definitely seem quieter as well in comparison which it is a good thing I think since my brother has autism. Sometimes, larger crowds can overwhelm him.
Luckily, we doing a Thurs/Friday deal. So, I'm hoping to avoid the larger crowds.
Definitely had a nice chill year this year. I won a wristband to the A24 Talk To Me screening, which was an utter DISASTER but the movie was good? Otherwise, I just vibed all weekend and had fun catching up with friends.
In a short summary, the "winning" email had no instructions, were hard to find, and then they just gave out wristbands to anyone, meaning those who actually won couldn't get wristbands anymore
