ive never seen the film but man, not even in the script? director just thinks it up on set and asks her to do it cuz hes a dick.

whats the likelihood of it was always planned but intentionally not included in reese's script to then pressure her on set where unlikely to waive it off? cuz then dont you have to set up shots, set the whole scene? or is it more normal to improv a whole new scene and thats just how movie sets work sometimes? like i know dialogue and basic actions can be improvised on the spot but im assuming this situation was just a whole new scene.

I'd think that a scene in that rollercoaster had been in the script, just not hat it would be a sex scene until some pervert with unlimited power decided that it would be a good idea to film one.

ahhh that makes more sense in this scenario. man how shitty especially googling reese prob woulda been like 18-19 when filming it too. so a teen having to stick up for herself on set against the director.

It depends a lot on the writer/director. There are some who are more rigid about sticking to the script but there are some who are very open to improvising, suggestions, etc. (especially if it doesn't require new camera/lighting).

But I think there are definitely some people who deliberately try to add scenes like this during the filming process so that it's harder for the actors to say no. It's shitty for an actor to read a script, sign on to a project, and then get asked to do things that weren't in the original script, especially when it comes to unnecessary nudity or sex scenes.
