I got home from work, saw it was down and just crawled into bed and slept. Like what else is there to do - but it’s me avoiding all the adulting stuff I should be doing instead. I didn’t realize how much I was on it until yesterday.
It's probably a bunch of incels who think fan fiction presents unrealistic expectations of relationships when in actuality no one wants to go to Red Lobster with a sweaty neckbeard talking about Trump all night.

fanfic is like comfort food or hanging out with old friends that you can just silently sit next to on the couch without saying a word. going out and meeting new people is great and exciting too, but can just take so much energy and effort and commitment to something new, whereas your old buddies are always reliable sources of a good time.
I know everyone is making jokes about the Library of Alexandria but seriously, how many works are on there? How many readers? Sure, it’s not Cheltenham Literary Festival up in there all the time, but it’s free and it’s fun. Free spaces like these need to be protected better.

Agreed. Not everyone who writes for fun wants to publish, create their own original work or is talented enough to do so, but doesn´t mean there can´t be a place to share ayway.
