I mean, Barbie's always had a good job and in her own way taught young girls they could be anything?

I will forever be angry at Gertwig over that mess that was Frances Ha but thank goodness she took over this project. Just say you weren't the right director for this particular project and go, Diabla.

How much of Frances Ha was her fault though? People act like it’s her filmbecause she was so front and center, but that film was mostly Baumbach (though she cowrote the screenplay).

I know everyone hates Frances Ha but I really love the friendship love story at the center, and the difficulty of dealing with a friendship that spans two different stages of life. It's tough to watch her make so many bad decisions though.

I feel like what she is describing is just a scarstic version of Barbie. A lot of what Schumer and to a lesser extent Cody did was just package up the ironic hatred of things into White feminist packages.

I agree with her 100% that the culture at the time was going to err more on pink edge lord than anything else.

I don't know of this Barbie will be different tbh but at least it seems less at risk of being mean spirited.

Yeah, I see where she's coming from. People now are talking about Barbie as some feminist hero because she was an astronaut and a lawyer and whatever. but I always just viewed it as a blond doll with big boobs and an impossibly tiny waist that gave girls body image issues.

I wasn't allowed to have Barbies when I was little and this was my mom's rationale. She also hated that her foot was shaped to only accommodate high heels lol.

Joke's on her though because I have body image issues anyway.

The resurgence of Paris Hilton's popularity is astounding. I know someone who is happy with her resurgence, along with some of Lindsay Lohan's.

You could have just said you lack talents to write a decent script and it would have explained it all. Her and Amy sound so annoying.
