I legitimately was shocked at this episode. Anna WINNING?!?! Kayne not even in the highest scored?! I don’t recall a season where the contestants had a discourse about the highest scored dress the way they did last night. That was crazy. I was stunned Anna was put in the spot she was in. The base dress was so basic and ugly and the ruffles … girlllll don’t even get me started. Anna is a great designer but this was NOT it. And Kayne deserved to be in the top because that dress slayed and was fierce as fuck.

I was dissappointed to see my fave Korto so salty this week

I was salty with her. She put so much work in the weaving to make sure she presented the judges with something different but her to see Anna redo a technique badly.

Ugh. The safe designers being mad at Anna was awful. Take your frustrations out on the judging/judges. This was a challenge about your personal style and translating it, Anna was very successful in that. Whats not ok is acting like she chose to be in the top- I can see why Nina really liked it, it was very much attune to/for her sensibilities as a fashion director.
I wish Bishme had been in top, not mad at all at Brittany winning, she did brilliantly and 1000% did her style. Hester’s look was a mess and her excuse about the fabric… yeah hun, its called a challenge. Her or Rami were worst to me.

I thought the same things. Be mad at the judges if you disagree with the tops and bottoms but Anna didn't force them to pick her. She didn't break any rules and designers have re-used design ideas before. The whole challenge was about showing the judges who you are as a designer and showing what is your signature thing, that's why Christian kept questioning and pushing a lot of them because they didn't seem to get that. While Anna's look wasn't amazing in general, she did hit the brief. I do think Bishme should have been in the top and Hester's was absolutely the worst.

Even Rami defended her and said "It's not her fault", and Bishme was the only one to congratulate her. I HATED Anna's dress, but I was pissed at the judges, not at her for being at the top. I like the fact that Kara Saun put a stop to it and was dissapointed in Korto's behavior, since I really like her designs.

I totally agree that Bishme should've been at the top, I loved his design.

And I know most people respect and love Nina, but the disdain in her voice while criticizing the designers this episode was too much. I know she's earned her spot as a respected fashion editor, but you can tell she's not a designer and that she can't get out of her "editorial" thinking. It frustrates me that they always talk about innovation and most of the time reward current fashion and not fashion-forward designs.

I love challenges like this when the designers are forced to actually design instead of falling back on their usual bag of tricks or habits (see: designers who rely on prints to do half the work, designers who only use black/dark colors, etc

And why was everyone’s solution to drape it?

It seemed that the fabric lend itself to that and at least Rami, Fabio and Kayne do a lot of draping in their design so I wasn't mad at them. As long as they manage to drape in their ways and things don't look like the same designer did it I don't care how many of them drapeXD

To me Anna did her signature thing but badly. I am sure if she had placed the ruffles differently to form some shape or hug the body it would've been better, but just straigth down with those spaces in between didn't look good to me.

And yeah totally with you, as mad as they can be that Anna didn't push herself, she did not make the descision to be in the top.

Just watched it. I do not think the two dresses Anna made look the same. I don't know why the othets have such an issue. I really liked Bishme saying he respected that she stuck to her aesthetic. I did not like her dress, but obviously the judges did. Kanye should not have said anything to her.

I liked the premise of the challenge.
