LBR I don't think JK Rowling would let him even if he wanted to.

I think most of the HP kids are done with HP, even without Terf Queen. They got 8 films and like 10 years of their lives and will probably always be synonymous with their roles.

I want the Percy Jackson actors to show up cos I feel like those films weren't really close to the books and the series was incomplete so I feel like cameos or them playing the parents would be cute (even though Disney+ says they're not doing that).

I just thought it would be a cute nod because at the end of the day none of the Godly parents have a lot of presence in the books so they'd be cute cameos and they're sort of the right ages? I feel like so much of the cast for the films was so good and it seems like a waste.

Either way, they've said they're not, but I think it's a missed opportunity.

He seems quite content to do projects he wants to to, and if he was smart with his HP money, he has the opportunity to do that.
I don’t blame him for wanting to distance himself from HP. I’m sure every time there is a new reboot, someone will inevitably ask him about it.

Being involved with that show may be a gamble for the actors since they have to know the controversies surrounding both the book and the writer.

So while it's still popular, the main movie trio is distencing themselves from it so maybe whoever sees that opportunity as their big break chance, they may have to think twice.

Is this new show supposed to be more faithful to the books? The stuff the movies left out?

I wouldn't really expect any of the movie actors in the reboor.

The cut side plots (SPEW for example)

it's been forever since i read the books, certainly not going to reread these days, but didn't the plot around spew condense down to "haha silly hermione, the house elves LIKE being enslaved! oh you!" so idk if it's that big of a loss not to have that.

I only recently (shame on me) realized that Harry's parents were like 20 something when they were killed and I hate that it didn't show that in the movie. Yes, Alan Rickman was a great Snape but aging the Marauders up sits so wrong with me.

I don't think I'll watch the show though, the only HP related thing I'm still into is Dramione Fanfics because most of them are so well written.

I agree. Young people's sacrifice was a theme in the books.
Not just Harry and his friends but the generation that came before.
