Yes! I was 9 when Siamese Dream came out but have older brothers who basically imprinted their musical tastes onto me. They use to make me headbang until I nearly passed out 😂
I was 6 in 1993 and exclusively listening to my mum's cd collection, so there was a lot of Queen and the Beatles and the Kinks, and random compilation albums of old songs. Bat Out of Hell II was big in my house too, I thought I was a cool kid.
Same. I was 5 and I remember listening to Bohemian Rhapsody and Bicycle Race and thinking they were very funny songs. I didn't know english but I I would yell "Mama" and laugh.
"Linger" legit makes me tear up, especially that opening - there's something about that song <3
speaking of Meatloaf, i was amused when i recently learned the producer of power ballad classic "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" - who'd produced a lot of tracks for Meatloaf in the past - had to win a court case to prevent him from recording it ('cuz Jim Steinman understandably wanted Queen Celine for the song). idk, the idea of there being a courtroom battle to decide whether or not this power ballad would go to Celine Dion or Meatloaf just tickles me.
i can understand why Meatloaf was covetous, though, because that song is glorious and wouldn't have sounded out of place on Bat Out of Hell II (...b/c Steinman wrote/produced both)

And Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream
Edit - how could I forget - The Breeders' Last Splash
1993 was a good year for albums for me.
