tbh i feel like she made some smart career moves over the last five years. she was becoming really overexposed and it was distracting from her talent. she obviously had some big personal milestones too but it feels like it was the right time to step away and then return back to the public eye.

also her new movie is honestly cute. it has a lot of heart and there's more to the story than the trailers let on. i think i also just miss having this kind of movie - not a sequel or a marvel movie or a horror movie, but a funny comedy that you can enjoy for an hour or two and go about your life. i miss movie variety. oversimplifying but it def fills a void where we used to have more grown up comedies.

Ita, this just looks fun. I was never on this Marvel wave so I've been mourning the decline of original movies for years now. I wanna go to the theatre w/o having to know about 10 unrelated movies and a ~cinematic universe
