I watched this kinda stoned and felt like at first Issa was annoyed with the questions she got compared to the others. Some questions I thought were thought provoking and others stupid and superficial (asking about clothes, Ken-energy) which I feel annoyed the actors because they’re trying to express how the plot of the movie subverts this connotation about Barbie/symbols associated with femininity.

I bet this interviewer wanted to only ask good questions and was pushed by a producer to ask the dumb ones, was what I thought watching it.

At first dismissed the weird vibe because they can't give spoilers but also the interviewer is going pretty hard on how important Barbie is to everyone to a group that didn't love Barbie when they were young. By the end Kate really seems not into it at all.

Yeah I could definitely feel that. Which is so funny because I feel like my generation (gen z/ millennial cusp) grew up loving Barbie and seeing her as an icon.
