Dominique Fishback is crazy talented, I was so taken with her in Swarm.

Also Emma is looking very modern Targ in that outfit.

I'm so pleased Jennifer Coolidge is having her renaissance. She just seems like a sweetheart and great laugh, and she's been giving us maybe the greatest magazine photoshoots of the century so far.

ETA: I feel like they could have called this something other than an actress roundtable given Emma D'arcy's there, but if they're ok with that, I will just sit here with my negroni sbagliato and keep quiet

emma chose to submit themself for emmys consideration in the actress category instead of actor so i think they're okay with the grouping in this instance. iirc the choice was made based not on them as a performer, but on the character they're playing.

I feel like no one I knew saw this, but I really liked Samuel L. Jackson and Dominique Fkshback in Apple +'s "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey."

It was a passion project for Samuel L. Jackson but Apple didn't do any promo (and I wish they promoted "Truth Be Told" with Octavia Spencer as well, a show 3 seasons and going with a great POC cast as well).

I think a majority black cast is also a big reason why Winning Time got no promotions that I saw either. I'm still blown away by that show and that it made me give a shit about the male characters and basketball lol, things I rarely care much about.

I’ve literally never heard of either. Granted, I don’t want y much Apple+, but I never saw any promo for it. They are pretty bad about promoting their shows in general, but with actors like SLJ and OS, you’d think they’d do SOMETHING.

Yeah no problem. I don't pay for anything 🏴‍☠️ but I hear and read about new shows a lot and AMC and Apple don't promote at all, it's insane. And most services don't promote shows with or about women or POC at all.

It's awful bc great shows get canceled way too soon. And I'm still waiting for Starz to announce when Three Women with Betty Gilpin, Shailene Woodley, and Wanda DeWise is gonna air, if ever. It's been in the can for like a year after Showtime unceremoniously dropped it, right when HBO dropped Minx.

Minx has Paul Feig and a season 2 return date, but 3 Women (based on the bestseller by Lisa Taddeo) doesnt seem to have a huge male producer attached.

I only saw one episode of Swarm, but Dominique is incredible. I also saw her in that David Simon hbo show, ALSO INCREDIBLE. Hope her career keeps growing, she's so talented

I am watching Fleishman Is in Trouble atm (one episode left), and this is easily the most impressed I have ever been by Claire Danes - her performance is fantastic.
