When are we going to do anything about gun violence? It's damn near an every day occurrence. So many innocent lives lost because... politics? I'm tired.

This makes me so sad and angry. I’ve gone to a lot of festivals here and had some friends who were there (luckily inside the venue when it happened). Last year at the same venue someone tried to bring a gun into the Bass Canyon festival. That time they were only caught because of some attentive ravers who noticed and reported it. Security at the Gorge has been really lax for a long time - most of the camping lot attendants are hired off Craigslist and many are just teens from the surrounding communities. I’ve arrived late at night before and there’s literally no one working vehicle check in after 11:30 pm! I’ve seen some really sketchy suvs full of dudes pull up at like 3 am after all the music’s over too.
