I hate this idea, especially for famous men, that they can cheat as long as it's quiet. I remember that being the response to Tiger Woods back in the day and it was always the thinking got any known groupies. It's not an open relationship, it's just abuse
Edited to add: I'm also someone who has and believes in responsible polygamy/open relationships so I'm especially judgmental to this type of thinking. It's not about being open, it just reiterates this stupid idea that men "can't help themselves", they're basically cavemen etc
Yeah, it's like... is the woman also allowed to sleep around, or is it only the guy? Just seems like the guy gets to cheat and the woman can't get upset about it because they have 'an agreement.'
I forever remember that Reddit post about a guy who pushed his gf into having an 'open' relationship because he wanted to sleep with other people. But then no one wanted to sleep with him, and his gf was getting laid left and right, and he was like 'What do I do, this wasn't how I imagined it!!!"
Yeah men find out and don’t fuck around when they coercively open their relationships to basically have permission to cheat. Makes me laugh when they get that wake up call.

Exactly. The reason I preach so much about non-monogamy is bc 1) I want to and 2) women have been hurting from monogamy for ages now, it's a system that essentially only benefits men. It's not an exaggeration to say monogamy kills, especially when men are constantly encouraged to treat their partners as possessions, while women are expected to just accept it quietly.
Never say never, sure, but my ass is never getting into a monogamous relationship ever again.

Monogamous people are often extra as fuck. My friend freaked out bc his gf shared a bed with a co-worker, in a room with 2 other people, during a work trip, bc they were all too wasted to switch rooms and just fell asleep there. I gave him an insane lecture, homeboy full on regretted whining about it to me lol

Also, this doesn’t sound like he can guarantee he won’t cheat in future
I don't know if we're going to work, but TODAY you're the certainty that I want to try.
