it's a little sad watching pixar's fall from grace, but i honestly loved soul and thought luca was vibrant and beautiful, so i don't think it's 100% related to quality. rather, throwing everything on disney+ with no promotion devalued the pixar brand, and when lightyear flopped despite being their big return to the theaters, it gave credence to the trolls running hate campaigns because the stories dared to have a tinge of diversity. i think pixar still has a lot of goodwill as a studio and hope they can bounce back.
