Because E3 is sadly no longer a thing, Microsoft/Xbox showcased many of its new upcoming titles at the Summer Games Fest 2023 which is definitely not E3 but also kind of is. Anyway, here are the trailers for some long-awaited games that will be coming out in the next year or maybe two or hell maybe three because screw us for getting our hopes up. ( Read more... )

Not all of them - Starfield, Fable, Forza Motorsport, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Avowed are exclusive to Xbox/PC but the rest should be available on PlayStation as well!

I'm so ready for Fable
I've been waiting for a new game for ages
And this girl is tired of EA bullshit, I can't wait for DA:D any longer

I was so desperate I played Amalur and even gave Elden Ring a try (but I need plot y'all)
I'm on FFXIV and The witcher 3 biding my time

THANK YOU I wasn’t enthralled by Elden Ring either, and I love a good RPG. I could see there was a lot of backstory but it was so convoluted and presented out of order with no context. Maybe someday I’ll try and jump back in. I still need to play Witcher though oop I know I’ll love it idk what I’m waiting for

Apparently, you have to go and read every item spec to get some sort of "story".
One of my friends is a big FromSoftware fanboy and even he told me this one was particularly dry
Lots of lore but no plot

Co-signing about Elden Ring. It's a gorgeous game but I had to make myself finish it. I enjoy the lore videos about the game more than the game it self lol.

I wasn't really interested in Starfield at first since I'm more of a Bioware girlie but dang did that direct pull me straight in! I loved the producer who collected stolen sandwiches lol. The only problem with Bethesda is there aren't enough smoochies. I wanna smooch aliens! I wanna romance the guy who sells spaceships. Is that so much to ask?!

Lol agreed, this is where Bethesda needs to take a page from the BioWare big book of bangin’

I’ve been waiting for a Skyrim in space for so long I’ll take anything, but at least we can be sure Dragon Age 4 will bring plenty of fireside ‘chats’

Thank you so much for posting this! I don't follow game media any more, it's too exhausting, but this list was fun to read and alerted me to a bunch of new games. That climbing one by Dontnod looks so great, giving me Sable vibes.

I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since the Elder Scrolls 6 teaser and we have heard nothing since.

I've heard semi-credible rumors that they're sick of TES as a setting. But I don't even know how much I believe it. TES has incredibly rich lore, though it hasn't always been very on the surface, you have to be invested, then the further you dig the crazier it gets. Bethesda until all the acquisitions ran a pretty tight ship where their big franchises were concerned at least - roughly 100 or less employees. Now with a literal money printer holding the reins they've, er, fattened the goose. They're sitting around 500 people. It certainly isn't a lack of resources.

My thought is that finally coming out with Starfield is a gamble. 25 years in the making is very significant to the hype. I'd say Todd sees it as high risk, high reward. This is a lot of speculation, though.
