I know the old Hollywood way was fucked up with its contract deals and I wouldn't want that back, but I do like the idea of two romance actors doing several movies together.

Someone posted a trailer to a Rock Hudson documentary and it mentioned Douglas Sirk's movies, so I looked them up and watched them. He was in like 3 or 4 movies with the same co-stars back to back. All of them gave of similar vibes too, so it's like 3 or 4 interpretations of the same sentiment told slightly differently....yet I wasn't bored at all and 2 of them I bought the criterions of. Lol

It's also a large reason why I ended up loving Wong Kar-wai movies as much as I did. You know what you're gonna get everytime and they have the same actos in them, but it's told skillfully enough you still enjoy the ride.
