I watched the Bridgerton TUDUM for season 2 and it gave me nothing. I expected BTS tidbits like comic con. The fool is me I guess.

I’m a little excited/scared for One Piece and ATLA

I hope Netflix doesn’t f*ck up 3Body Problem. I’m curious how internationalised it will be since the OG was set in China with mentions of things internationally. I’m rewatching Tencent’s version on YouTube. One of a few of my issues was the VR game lol the cgi for it felt cheap but everything else was great.

I am so looking forward to this adaptation (the TenCent one was true to the book but in a boring way to me lol) but I am cautiously optimistic. Netflix does have my fave Benedict Wong going for it.

i realize i'm not unique in saying this but outside of You (which i've been grandfathered into caring about) and whatever movies they unfortunately acquire like Glass Onion, it's actually so impressive how the Netflix brand has become so repellent to me that i'm pretty likely to just not bother checking out whatever they have going on anymore

like whenever i see hashtags like #SavePoopPrincess or whatever latest YA garbage got abruptly canceled by them it's just like... how do people keep falling for this? haven't you been burned enough to stop getting invested in the Netflix churn?? anyways

tbh the only reason I'm interested in TLA is because it has a built-in audience. And we'll at least get one season. And we know what happens, so a quick cancellation won't be as big of a deal as something new.

I still think they've made the animation branch quietly shelve Redwall and that sucks.

I don’t get why they think this is effective marketing. They always do stupid events for PR / marketing for their shows that are one-offs that no one pays attention.

They are great with word-of-mouth, creating trends from shows that people will talk about such as Wednesday dance, but we hardly ever see any actual advertisement from them. They need to put their budget into advertising and not these events and influencers that no one gives a shit about and most people will never see.
