I hope this is a healthy relationship for both and that he's a good father but that speech about ~the right man is so counterproductive. Not criticizing her for it btw as she's obviously speaking about her own experience but overall, we should teach women that they should only have kids if it's their dream, period. Having a kid simply bc a man seems great or like he would make a great father is a very dangerous risk to take, as reality has proven time and time again that a lot of those women end up as solo moms, while Mr. Great is out there being a ~wonderful father to his new kid(s).

Have a kid because you want to, not bc you met the "right" guy or bc your partner ~dreams of being a father. Have a kid bc you know that even if the father peaces out, you'll still have a human whom you'll love from all your heart instead of projecting on them the failures of your relationships. Have a kid bc you can't wait to raise a wholeass human and teach them wonderful things.

Don't ever have a kid for a man, ever.

While we should definitely teach women that they should only have children if they want to "Will this person be a decent mother/father" should be in the equation as well if you're "in the market" (when you know you definitely want kids and want someone who feels the same way) so to speak. There are some people that simply aren't good parent material for a whole host of reasons, and I think those things should be taken in consideration rather than a "Love can cure all" approach.

I mean, if someone like Nick Cannon slid into your DMs even if you wanted kids you would probably pass, you know?

Having a baby with someone you barely know is so much worse than jumping into marriage. She seems like a very sweet, loving person so I hope he's a good guy. Her baby is a cutie and I wish them all well.

i'm old enough to remember ~2013 or 2014 when she quickly got married to a guy she'd only been dating a short time, she said the exact same "when you know you know!" about making that decision

the more things change the more they stay the same i guess

You can’t know that someone is baby daddy material as soon as you meet them.

But he’s not Nick Cannon, so it could be worse.

I hope she just keeps going with this guy and build their relationship and they don’t marry anytime soon
