She was dealing with drug problems, I think mental health issues and discontent/envy over his career success. Iirc she was abusive and would get angrier because he would just ice her out

She had addiction issues, and from what I remember, she had sobered up for a time. Then, according to rumor, Andy Dick pushed her off the wagon, and it went downhill from there.

She’d been struggling a long time but had gotten sober. In December ‘97 Andy Dick gave her drugs and by May she had fully spiraled and then did this.

I can’t believe it’s been 25 years. My family was still new to the US at that point, but my 12yo self was a big fan for his family movies, NewsRadio, reruns of SNL episodes. Kinda strange for a 12yo girl to find his characters amusing, but I did, lol. I remember crying my eyes out as the news kept showing their home where it happened.
