I'm feeling somewhere in the middle about it all. Didn't hate it, didn't love it. But I also didn't like season 1 as much as everyone else until my rewatch.
I think the show can still rebound but I hope they take some time and really plan out the final seasons.
I’m curious about people losing interest. I don’t watch but I’ve noticed, with myself, when I binge a first season or however many seasons are out, and then switch to weekly when a show returns, I become a lot more critical and usually lose interest after one more season or two.
Is that the case for many of you here? Did you binge season one or most of season one and then switch to watching weekly?
lol you might be onto something. i bingewatched the first season and most of season 2 and then watched the past few episodes when they came out, and those are the ones i didn't like as much. but i do think overall season 2 wasn't as strong, it feels like they're meandering down different subplots in an effort to stretch it out 5 seasons.
This is actually a really interesting point! I enjoy the weekly episodes because i like to pick everything apart and get into the details. I also love a slow burn so i'm more forgiving if an episode seems boring. I assume it will pay off in the long run. I could see some people who binge forget that an episode is boring since they go right into the next one. Maybe they enjoy the overall experience more since they didn't obsess over a disappointing episode or two.
I didn't mind it but I'm pretty casual about watching this show and I can see why others might feel more strongly. Honestly I just want to know who's been watching Taissa's kid this whole time since his other mom is indisposed. I also want to know what happened to that storyline.
Yeah uhhhh how long has she been "missing"? You'd think someone would notice! I'm more positive on this season than many people, apparently, but the pacing of the adult storyline is so confusing. Has it been a month? A week?! When did Jessica die?

I will say that if they had to plot around killing off her character and changing the season plans, that would explain the rush of some of the storyline.
One of my favorite people, and mutuals on tiktok/fb, who watches this show but hasn’t seen Succession was disappointingly going off about how elite this show is and how it deserved all the awards… and in the same breath, trashes Succession. It made my respect for her drop a tiny bit. Esp because I told her I’d watch this for her but now this makes me not want to.
your respect for a friend dropped bc they don’t like a tv show as much as you do??
omg this is probably what my husband said to his friends after I told him I hate Community and I don’t want to watch Sopranos bc I don’t like mob stories 😂😂😂
Lmao no ofc not, I was being facetious. But I do think it’s funny that someone will trash something they have admittedly never experienced even in small amounts in order to defend something else like this.

i think it's been a very short time frame from the season 1 finale in the adult timeline, per the subreddit

I guess it was a little rushed. I was expecting something like a Jonestown massacre to happen given all the foreshadowing.
I do question [Spoiler (click to open)]killing off Natalie but I heard here that Juliette Lewis wanted to leave?
