I'm still a little unsure how good this movie will be. I don't like when Greta goes meta-the way her Little Women ended soured me on the film-and the trailer seemed way too self aware. But this is a great lineup. They're killing the marketing.

I wonder who Kali is? Cause I thought Kali Uchis. Ava Max is interesting cause she did a song called “not your Barbie girl” that samples the original but more of answer song to the original. So it’s interesting seeing her on here 👀

I read Margot’s Vogue article yesterday and it kinda gives some ideas about the plot. It’s not spoilery~ but don’t read it if you wanna go super-blind.

But it sounds pretty interesting [Spoiler (click to open)] I get existential Barbie. Going by Margot’s leaked letterboxd account I can feel The Truman Show influence hard. Overall I liked so far from what I’ve heard about Greta’s treatment. Even the comparison of Barbie and Ken to Adam and Eve really piqued my interest lol.
