Jin is annoying and so clueless. Idk he seemed zoned out? Like the actor couldn't express the emotions and give reactions needed. But the actor who plays Wei-Chen is great, Michelle Yeoh was amazing as always, if you blink you're gonna miss Stephanie Hsu which sucks, Ke Huy Quan's story should've been it's own show, he was prefect and his storyline is so important. Yeo Yann Yann who plays Jin's mom deserves all the awards.

The mythological part is good but there isn't enough of it and there are a 1000000000 ANNOYING and useless teenagers but that might just be because I'm old as fuck and can't stand CW type teen drama anymore.

But there are enough great actors and somewhat interesting mythology to make it worth watching.

Edit: that's a lot of negativity 😬 ignore everything but the last part.

lol well I appreciate honesty even if it’s a bit negative! I’m gonna watch it regardless but i do like hearing people’s thoughts. I’m glad to hear you think it’s worth watching even if there are aspects you didn’t like about it :)

Lol I watched most of it while working and then while dealing with passive aggressive emails so that might've influenced my view but there really are a fuck ton of annoying teenagers 😂

ooooh i've been thinking that hollywood has been slow to tap chinese mythology (or east asian in general) for material when the stories and visuals are so vibrant and unique. i want to check this out for sure

Probably because they were trying to figure out how to insert white people in the stories.

I’m excited to check this out. I see that it’s from the Director of Shang Chi which I really enjoyed.

How come Disney released all episodes at once? Definitely going to be watching this, some of the visuals are so beautiful.

If it comes from the same people that made Shang Chi, that's gonna be a pass for me.
