A recently obtained copy of the jumbotron feed of Daft Punks show at the 2007 O2 Wireless Festival in the UK will soon make its way to the interwebs.

I can’t imagine watching two guys stand there for 3 hours while other people do ecstasy for 3 hours on my phone. The live performance aspect is lost on me with this. Their music and videos are cool and I would go, but that preview did not have me on the edge of my seat. Eta if that’s confusing I mean I don’t want to watch a video of the live performance like I would other artists

#1: the show was 90 minutes

#2: they put on a spectacle of an elaborate light show, while dressed in their costumes from all their promotional material (which they didnt do prior to that), while doing a 90 minute mixtape of all their best material. It was a party.

#3: nobody said this was beyonce serving choreography.

 it's so nice to see concert footage that isn't THAT old where nobody is holding their phone up in the air

my heart, but also lol at all the digital cameras capturing 6 pixels of memories to look back on

and even then, some venues wouldn't allow you to bring in a pocketsized digital camera, lolz (for solo concerts, not so much festivals).

I still have my shitty footage of the first concert i went to. It was at that moment i realized to forever do the Memory of the Megapixel mantra.
