I don’t think the issue is money. It’s impossible to give appropriate attention to 12 children in a meaningful way. It’s very sad. I hope his kids have good, supportive loving families. Nick’s money helps ease the burden of parenting, but money doesn’t replace being a parent.

100% agree. I think the € is important (we all do) and helps his kids have more chances and choices (because that is what money does)...but it isn't the same.

Mum had only me and my sister but it took her years to get child support and my dad gave the bare minimum (which was never enough as a single parent new to Los Angeles with 2 kids under 5). I still feel pain when I think about cleaning his house out after he passed and finding drawers full of letters from me/sister begging him to visit. Bargaining with him to convince home were worthy of his time and love.

His kids will know someone else as their father (even if only platonic with their mum)
