I loved the first one. Haven’t read the books and don’t really want to

I'm on the second book and holy fucking hell, they did Astrid and Rachel SOOO much better in the movie than the books. Astrid in the books stays with Michael and other thing happen. Rachel? Do you remember when she was shocked that his mama found her daddy in the movie? Well, in the book she refused to talk to her mom. Called Carrie out of her name and then was rude until her mama told her the truth about her real daddy.

Not to mention the rich women were a lot more horrid.

The second book I'm on? Astrid is still with Michael and really seeing the fuck around and finding out. If a man doesn't want to be with you, leave his ass and count your blessings. Astrid and Rachel are so fucking passive and you can tell that a man wrote their characters which is why I appreciated the movie. They had a backbone and were active when shit happened instead of being passive then reactive from a guy forcing them.

I really enjoyed this trilogy and the first movie, so I’d love to see a sequel. I have some major problems with the 3rd book lol but I’d still love to see a movie made of it.

If this movie had a white cast the sequel would already have been made. But they refused to pay the Asian writer was she deserved. And they just don’t care enough.

it's frustrating, they needed to strike while the iron was hot

I feel like their excuse was it's a big cast and it's hard to get them available all at the same time, but EVERY OTHER movie has that problem and they make it work

This film's popularity and success has guaranteed that the actors/writers/directors and everyone involved will ask what they're worth and I think that's why it hasn't gotten off the ground, Hollywood loves diversity so long as it doesn't cost too much. There is plenty of story to work from out of the next two books, in fact, I think the storyline with Astrid is much more enjoyable.
