I heard Sixth Avenue Heartbreak a couple years ago and it hit so much harder as an adult. I found the Wallflowers annoying as a kid cuz they were soooo overplayed in 1998 but I feeeeeel that song now. Three Marlenas is a banger too.

Quorthon from Bathory lmao. His daddy had a recording label and managed to get his songs on a metal compilation album. He then asked him to record a full album which is now one of the holy grails of black metal.

The dude was really really fucking talented though, his later albums were absolutely SICK and he was basically the only member playing ALL the instruments (Under The Sign Of the Black Mark and Blood Fire Death? Amazing) so I will forgive him. Also he's been dead for quite a while so rip to that man and his gorgeous hair.

But telling random metalheads "Quorthon is a nepotism bb" is my favorite way to start shit.

I love mentioning random people on ONTD lol, although I think he would have secretly loved this place because his interviews were fucking wild this man was always spewing bullshit for fun. But he was incredibly talented! A real shame he kicked the bucket so young.

Though I am always a slight bit ~conflicted~ on him because I am staunchly a rabid Venom girl (I've got a huge collector of their vinyl, posters, signed stuff etc) but I cannot deny tall bb Quorthon is great lmao
