I might be giving her a little more credit than the situation warrants but reading between the lines it sounds like she had certain ideas about how to play Meg and Greta was like "No, you need to do it this way" so she did and got criticized everywhere for it. If that's how it went down I can understand why she would feel a certain way about it.
