I see Project Runway alum Emilio Sosa is still killing it in Tony nominations.

Seeing another Glee star get a Tony nomination while Lea Michele has none (I know she wasn’t eligible) makes me so happy.

Wasn’t she nominated for SA prior glee, tho?

(It was still funny to see Jenna actually winning one before her, and so it will be if Alex wins as well)

No she was snubbed for SA which is hilarious when you hear the story about how her and JGroff went and prayed the night before in the documentary lmao

Nope, the only acting nominations from the original cast were for Groff and Gallagher! The nominees for lead actress in a musical that year were:

Christine Ebersole - Grey Gardens as 'Little Edie' Beale
Laura Bell Bundy - Legally Blonde as Elle Woods
Audra McDonald - 110 in the Shade as Lizzie Curry
Debra Monk - Curtains as Carmen Bernstein
Donna Murphy - LoveMusik as Lotte Lenya

i was hoping that that pippa was going to be nominated, especially because it seemed like the consensus was that she was the one people couldn't stop thinking about after watching camelot 😭💔

It seems crazy that she was in two shows this season and she didn't get nominated for either.

i agree, especially when everyone and their mom (from the public to the critics) seemed to love her in both shows 😭

I am cackling that Webber shut down his profit machine (no matter how he wants to spin it that it wasn't making money, it was and would have gone back to how it was prior to pandemic) and his little shit disaster piece nobody asked for tanked.

I'm sorry for the cast that had to put that on their resume, but in the end, ya chose to work for Webber. I hope he doesn't bitch them out through speaker and blame it on them like he did with the London cast. Any time his shows don't succeed he is always chewing someone out for faults that are his.

To other things: this is the first time in a LONG time that the nominees are very, very high profile and competition is gonna be fierce.

I saw Bad Cinderella on Friday and it was kind of fun? It's nonsense but I enjoyed it better than Moulin Rogue. I think it would work better if they dropped the Cinderella stuff and just had an original fairy tale and made the lead a plus size girl and that's why she doesn't fit in. Then it would have something to say at least!

Bingo. It's a poorly written musical. Takes place in a fantasy-esque world where people dress in gowns but yet there is plastic surgery? That Lindey girl is so nasally and shouts her shit while she dances. Like a kid throwing a tantrum.

Then men in that show are so fine tho. If I didn't already have body dysmorphia I would after seeing that show. Especially the prince omg.

Also I was in the second row (thanks TDF!) and Grace McLean interacted with me during the Act II opener. I wish the show was more about her and Carolee scheming against each other.
