Glad Gunn stuck to his guns (badum tsshh) because I love her Nebula!! I never gotten too much into GOTG but I do love the Gamora/Nebula stuff and Mantis too!

I find the Guardian of the Galaxy films meddling and afraid of handing genuine emotion, but I'm glad James seems to be a decent boss and stands by his employees.

I think it's one of the reasons why it is successful. It never goes as far as it should and always overuses bathos to hide its constant emotional manipulation.

All the so-called emotional moments in the first one left me cold, and the dance-off scene made me never want to watch the sequel or another MCU movie until Multiverse of Madness*.

(* I did watch half of Age of Ultron on a plane, though.)

him getting fired was dumb and complete waste of time. It was performative af, especially given other people disney has worked with in the past and future that have done worse.

He played it smart by not being combative and let his cast speak for him.
