I just want to add that I read a Peter Pan book while I was in Highschool. It was during the period when I was trying to get myself into a "reading literature/children literature phase". I was inspired by having to read a children literature book of another classic for my ESL class a few years back.

I see people making comments on here about Peter Pan adaptations lacking humor and such. I don't remember the book I read to be humourous? I saw the old cartoon years ago and I don't remember it being humourous either. But then again, I tend to lack a funny bone somewhere.

Only one person (review) mentioned lacking humor, but you're right, it's not funny as such. There's humor for the kids and for adults who may be charmed by kids' thoughts, although it's also sort of sad.

To me the perfect adaptation came as a stage version by Donmar Warehouse (if I am not mistaken), where it's Mrs. Darling\female captain Hook. I have not thought much of the idea originally, but when I saw it, it was jigsaw falling into place kind of situation. It made perfect sense.
It wasn't just the best version of "Peter Pan" that I have seen, it was the best theatre performance I have seen, and I have seen objectively a lot.
If you come across it in National Theatre live screenings (if it is a thing at you location), don't miss it.

They filmed the Neverland exterior shots around Bonavista and Branch in Newfoundland. I think everyone here is going to watch it.

It was bad. Neverland wasnt......whats the word?.....magical. Everything looked green for some reason.
