Listened to the new National album. I wish I liked it more, but I do think it will grow on me - I like Tropic Morning News + the songs with Phoebe. Haven't loved an album of theirs since High Violet, though.

And the way I knew the Taylor Swift song was the Taylor Swift song as soon as it fucking started... blah. I know I am the odd one out not being into her music, but it's been years and my feelings have not changed.

I've been listening to this

which I like a lot.

And the restaurant we were in last night was playing lots of Lauryn Hill... I loved this album so fucking much.

We have such similar taste. <3 Love the Thundercat x Tame Impala collab (it sounds exactly what I would expect a collab between them to sound like), and of course love Lauryn Hill.

I haven’t had a chance to listen to the new National album, but I do stan Trouble Will Find Me (top three National album with Boxer and High Violet). However, even mediocre music from The National is better than a lot of other music for me, so I’m pretty sure I’ll like their new album just fine lol

Jessie Ware's album is good, but I feel like it needs to grow on me a little more. I fucking LOVED What's Your Pleasure, and I think I wore out Pearls/Free Yourself already...

I agree, What's Your Pleasure was so definitive and just instantly perfect. That! Feels Good! takes a minute but I'm a bunch of listens in now and am really loving it. I do wish she had done extended versions of Free Yourself and Pearls like she did for singles on What's Your Pleasure because for me that took WYP to the next level on first listen.

I just don't think Jessie can miss. Even my least favorite album of hers, Glasshouse, had a few really good songs.
