Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles by actor Karen Gillan for a look inside her cozy, pub-like home. The Dr. Who and Marvel Universe star recently moved into the traditional early-1900s cottage with her husband, comedian Nick Kocher, setting out to design their first home together.

The house is too dark for my taste, but I love that it's so specific to her. "Like an older Scottish person lives here"... I feel that's pretty accurate. Love the highland cow wall art!
Love the giant sofa in the den! Between that and the little bar and piano setup, they must have some good parties.
Her closet is big, but I am kind of surprised it's not bigger! The house in general is so reasonably sized.

$2 million gets you a reasonably sized house in Los Angeles.

ETA: I really like how they did the primary bath. It's got all the bells and whistles and is luxurious without taking up too much space in the house.

It's a little dark for my taste and I don't like all the wallpaper, but I love the historic details of the house itself and the backyard is amazing.

I like how cozy it feels. I hate those giant open concept mansions that have no personality and it looks like no one lives there.

like how Disney did not like that she initially auditioned with her real accent (they don't do scottish?) and that she only got the job after James Gunn gave her pointers on the Nebula voice she ended up with
and that Chris and Pom called Gunn asking for directions during the IW filming bc they thought the Russos did not really get the characters. and Gunn thinks the whole punching Thanos scene was dumb as well
