I was fine with seeing the flower number at the beginning and then part of the waste management “musical” but I agree that it went in too long. We definitely didn’t need to see 2/3 of it again when Midge was having a self sabotaging temper tantrum. But part of me laughs every time so see Malucci playing a gangster on this show.

Poor Susie. Hedy just wanted to act like nothing had ever happened between them while Susie has clearly carried this pain for a long time. That kind of pain seems even worse when the other person acts like you’re merely old buddies who haven’t seen each other in a while.

Agreed. I wish that Santino Fontana would have popped up in it, though. I guess we're not going to see him again.

It only just clicked for me that Rachel Brosnahan's bf/husband(?) is on the show now lol

I wonder if he'll end up being one of her husbands. Him hating her at first would track.

Amy and Dan really want to make a musical huh? I skipped over basically half the episode lol it was boring. the Abe/Rose stuff just isn’t for me and then the fucking endless musical ugh and then the reprise where Midge self-sabotages for the billionth time. the only part I really loved was the last scene with Susie and Hedy. are we finally getting confirmation that Susie is a lesbian?

They made a HORRIBLE musical as part of their stupid Gilmore Girls revival. Huge chunks of time were devoted to it. It had the talented Sutton Foster but still managed to suck.

oh, TRUST ME I remember that musical in AYITL like it actively haunts me. at least the Maisel one was nice to look at but yeah. someone should give them the rights to some 40s or 50s musical so they can finally make one and get it out of their system

the Susie/Hedy stuff was not believable sorry. I was just like c'mon and eyeroll throughout the whole thing

This episode was not good. Amy and Dan are shockingly bad at writing fake musicals. Like the one in the Gilmore revival with Sutton Foster went on for too long that I legit fell asleep, and I remember there was also a bizarre dance routine/musical in Bunheads about recycling or the environment where they all dressed up as weird objects?!

They should get a booby prize for misuse of Sutton Foster's talent.

Okay I thought maybe it was just me but it was bad! I was getting so frustrated I had to finally fast forward through the musical part, I couldn't take it.

Having to sit through the garbage musical TWICE pissed me off. Midge was throwing a tantrum it was so unprofessional.

The only interesting thing was the Susy/Gordon’s wife reveal. And Joel figuring it out they have ties with the mob.
