Yeah I think people predicted Alec would be getting charges so I wasn't surprised by this.

BUT THE ARMORER IS GETTING OFF??!?!??!?!? :OOOOOOO!!!

I know her dad is one of the top armorer in the business but I don't think his clout could cause this? I wonder what was the reasoning for dropping charges against her.

She is a clown. Literally caught in writing saying she wanted this to help her get elected.

The DA in this case was incompetent at best, shady and unethical at worst. I figured this would happen. They charged him with an enhancement that wasn’t law at the time of the shooting, which is a blatant violation of the US Constitution. And not only did they not admit it was their screw-up (or attempt to overcharge him to pressure him and the armourer into a plea deal), they blamed his “big-city attorneys” and their “billable hours.” Nice tainting of the potential jury pool by implying it was his wealth that got him off the charge, not you violating the Constitution.
Then, the special prosecutor had to step down because she is a Republican politician and you literally cannot prosecute the laws you write. Not to mention she was caught saying she wanted her involvement in this case publicized to help her election campaign. Like…talk about prosecutorial overreach in this entire thing.

I feel terrible for her family, but the husband has said he believed this was an accident and he is ok with the financial settlement being the form of punishment. But I’m surprised the armorer wasn’t charged. She definitely was reckless and her actions caused a death. Manslaughter charges are warranted, maybe they’ll be reinstated later.

She is still being charged. There was confusion with the initial reporting. She’s the only one who should have been charged anyway.
