Off to a great start this year! Streams are only a few minutes delayed, the video and audio has been pretty good (some static here and there but it went away), no annoying ass interviews between sets, I am pleased.

So far, I watched BENEE, Muna, some of Becky G, and now I'm watching Wet Leg. Saw them at a festival last year and they were really good - this set seems a little more low energy off the bat, but sometimes it's hard to tell what the crowd is like from the stream.

I want to watch Blondie and Gorillaz later, but we've got plans later so hopefully I can rewind or catch them on the replay. Looking forward to tomorrow + Sunday's sets!

Praise jeebus, those interviews weren't even good

I'm on Coachella TikTok and it's fun watching the videos and seeing how people are camping and stuff but I would never want to do it myself. I like watching the kids have fun though. I also don't know 98% the artists listed. I saw that Bad Bunny is like the biggest artist in the world right now and I have never heard a song of his or really heard of him outside of ONTD.

Maybe I misread, but I thought they were going to livestream the entire thing so was a bit confused when my friend starting texting me about some bands. Since the livestream didn't start until 4pm and even then some of the set times listed online contradicted the supposed live angle. Just seems like every other year.

Now I see my ONTD didn't read moment, since I just noticed a few replays from earlier in the day thrown into the mix here and there.

I think it was initially unclear exactly what they were gonna do beyond adding streams + streaming both weekends. Now that we're in it, it looks like they are streaming way more sets this year than they have in the past - they used to only have three streams - but not all of them. And they are time delayed, but not by much. Definitely an improvement over past years. Maybe Weekend 2 they'll have other sets? Not sure!

Yeah there definitely are more streams now and now that I'm actually figuring it out it makes sense they've sprinkled earlier smaller acts as replays here and there throughout the stream. I guess those early afternoon bands always tend to have a smaller audience to begin with anyway.
