Brooke Shields has done several interviews about her new Pretty Baby documentary, but I found this one really interesting because as a fellow child star, Drew clearly relates a lot to Brooke's childhood, career, famil breadwinner status, momager situation, etc. Brooke also mentions that after the documentary aired, the director of The Blue Lagoon

Someone in those comments also said Drew would probably be the perfect choice for the person to interview Britney if she ever gets to a space of wanting one and ITA.

I accidentally watched the second video first and it was so quiet that I thought Drew was interviewing her without a studio audience. It wasn't until later that I realized the audience was there. I really love that everyone was so respectful of the conversation (and how emotional it was for both Brooke and Drew) that that they were all so quiet.
It almost felt like a therapy session that we were being allowed to watch. I liked that Drew asked some really specific questions and that Brooke was not giving full details on certain things because she knows where her boundaries are (even though I'm a nosy bitch who of course wants all the details, I respect that there are things she still isn't ready to discuss publicly). It's okay to yadda yadda yadda the stuff that you don't want to talk about yet in cases like this.

Seriously, Tom is such a loser. He is so adamantly anti-psychiatry, because of the aliens and probably (mostly) because of personal issues he will never address. He made a total ass of himself and I'm so glad that Brooke schooled him.

I'm okay with actors, musicians, etc. going on talk shows to promote their latest projects with anecdotes, but I really appreciate talk show hosts like this who can have an actual conversation with their guests, give them space to think/respond, really listen to them, and connect with them (in contrast, we have people like Jimmy Fallon who keep interrupting so they can ask the next prepared questions before his guest has even finished answering the previous question). I know not every guest is going to have such common experiences with the host like this particular example of Drew and Brooke, but I am glad that with all the press Brooke has been doing, she was able to have such a real conversation with Drew.

I think it also helps that she asks better/more personal questions. They’re often more like questions you would ask a new friend who you’re trying to get to know (as opposed to the very superficial questions that celebs are often asked during tv interviews). And it REALLY helps that she doesn’t interrupt or just rush to the next question. She lets them think before responding and if they need a few seconds of silence while they do that, she lets them have it.
