Oh ffs... honestly it should be illegal to get engaged before you are 30. EVERY single person I know who got married in their 20s is now divorced. You don't even know yourself let alone what you want in a partner... I wish them luck but I mean...
I think marriage is great but neither one of them is even fully-cooked yet. There is something to be said about going into it with literally no life experience b/c you have nothing to which compare it to... but I just think at that age you are are sacrificing and extremely important time in your life (the 20s) which, watching all my friends now... you cannot get back.
Oh I’m just saying I doubt they get down the aisle. I’m from a small town in the midwest. 2/3s of my graduating class was engaged by the time they graduated college. The ONE advantage I can think of for a life like that is that they’ll be done with raising kids before they’re 55. By then, their house is typically paid off (low cost of living) and they just get to enjoy life.
But Millie and Jake wouldn’t live a life like that and if they did it’d be completely by choice versus circumstance which is what we’re used to. I am just somewhat relieved that she’s engaged to a guy her age versus some 28 year old perv.
