i might be wrong but i think sting gets 100% of the royalties from the song, which is what they're talking about. diddy didn't ask for permission to sample it and if he had and got it, he only would've had to pay 25% royalties.

Yeah Sting sued and was granted 100% of the royalties but I guess sold off his entire catalogue a while ago so he’s not even getting royalties anymore.
