I saw John Wick 4 this week, while not my favorite in the series, it’s much improved over 3 which kinda started to lose my interest in the series. The set pieces were great throughout the film and while the action sometimes borderline goofy, they never manage to lose the thread entirely, especially when elevated by performances like Donnie Yen or Hiroyuki Sanada.

I also saw Rye Lane, which is an incredibly well-done romcom. Story wise it’s not doing anything new but it’s completely elevated by its direction and cinematography. Raine Allen-Miller brings such a clear vision to the film, I can’t believe this is her debut. Also, I almost scream when I saw that cameo. This is probably one of the best romcom I’ve seen in a long time.

Michelle Williams becoming annoying to me. Not her as a person but her acting or maybe it's the movies she picks....haven't seen a movie with her i liked since i think meek's cutoff?
no that's a lie, I actually did think she was fabulous a Marilyn but the movie was just ok

between catching up on oscars hw before the show aired and all the stuff i've been doing for my sister's wedding i've been SO BEHIND on seeing newer movies! but i'm finally seeing scream vi tonight; none of my friends like horror (though i think of the scream franchise as more comedy than anything else) so i'm used to seeing them by myself lmao. i've been good about avoiding spoilers thank god!

of the ones in this post i've been looking forward to how to blow up a pipeline forEVER, and paint as well to a lesser extent. and because air has been getting such great reviews i'll probably see that one as well. my local alamo is also showing a thousand and one which i really want to see, though i know it'll probably make me cry A LOT.
