Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover revealed the original inspo of his hit song "This Is America." It was supposed to be a diss track...of one Aubrey "Drake" Graham. He also said that "it started as a joke. It started as a Drake diss to be honest. As like a funny way of doing it."

I always thought the song was pretty lame. Seems like it was for white people so they could sing it and feel like activists. I remember one time a white acquaintance of mine got drunk and was stomping around the streets barefoot yelling “this is America!” and she was all smug about it like “yeah, I know the struggle” and I just knew her “activism” was gonna get my black ass arrested.
