I remember when they updated one line from Arabian Nights in Aladdin. My only complaint is that when they dubbed the new lyrics into subsequent DVD releases, the singer's tone of voice didn't match the original so it was really obvious that they had just plopped it in.

disney again doing the bare minimum with their faux activism. if they truly cared they would have cast a drag queen as ursula, not tweaking few meaningless lyrics.

Okay? Idk that this is bad? I have a *lot* of thoughts about Disney movies and warped expectations of self/beauty/relationships. I never equated it to the lyrics of any one movie, but hopefully the changes are seamless

once again, stupid and essentially calling the audience stupid too. Ursula is the villain, she's not giving Ariel GOOD advice here, she's manipulating her. But I guess audiences can't be trusted to get that? If anything the movie itself completely counters Ursula's advice, cause Eric does not just immediately falls for pretty, available, mute Ariel but rather keeps searching for the woman whose voice he heard.

and Kiss the Girl is also stupid. Ariel is obviously willing, Eric is the one who's being convinced. And he's being convinced to take the first step, not like she's forcing herself on him either.

These things are so annoying.
