I'm just not impressed by things like AI and money on their own, for me it's what you do with it, and I'm mainly seeing a lot of stuff that falls into the "just because you can, doesn't mean you should" category. Like at this point unless you are developing shit to truly help humanity, I don't care.

the people that created nukes, they deeply regretted what they did. I don’t think this will the case of people with AI though

Lazy and helpless, so concerning people don't see the value in knowing how and being able to do things on your own. I feel like the future is going to be so painful for those who are curious and value knowledge but I think people like that will also remain more self sufficient, which will benefit them when climate change brings more and longer power outages.

It’s definitely been making me lazy. I’m helping create a training module for my work and at one point, I was so bored that I went onto ChatGPT to try and outsource my work. Thank god they make you create an account cause otherwise…😔

Something that really irked me was the number of people who said they used art/writing AIs because they weren't "good" or "naturally gifted" at those things. As if artists and writers came out of the womb creating masterpieces, and didn't put years of work into developing those skills? It's treating art as a commodity, and not a creative process meant to be engaged in for its sake. Talent is the work of a lifetime, but creating is itself life. If you're not creating (singing, dancing, doodling, speaking new ideas, etc.) what are you even doing? Just making/spending money?

Yeah, that makes sense. In the 90's it made sense that robots actually composing music (not just mimicking it) would be purely science fiction. Now we have ChatGPT fooling everyone into thinking that it's thinking (which it's really, really not).

Basically their art became reality and that's not exactly a good thing.

Basically they're not liking the rise of A.I. in everything, especially in the arts
